Great overall sound quality and comfortable to wear. Bluetooth adapter NOT included in this version. July 8, 2009 Sidarta Tanu (Richmond, VA USA) 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
Altec Lansing 903/R US BackBeat Headphone is a very good wireless headset, both for phone/talk and music. It is comfortable to wear and provide very decent sound quality (stereo).
Pros:
1. Very comfortable to wear (and light)
2. Great overall sound quality (stereo)
3. Bass is strong (with bass boost feature)
4. Great battery life (6+ hours talk/music time)
5. New OpenMic technology is very useful (so you don't have to take off the headset if you want to hear the surrounding)
6. Quick switch from listening to music to picking up the phone
7. Headset have dedicated button for remote control phone/music operation (like volume, bass, play, pause, switch to phone, mute, open mic control)
Cons:
1. Sound not as crisp as wired headphone (when listening to music), but very close, and for wireless, I think it's good enough
2. Volume control is one level change per click (can't just hold the volume up or down to change the volume multiple level)
3. Buttons are very small and it's not very easy/comfortable to press when you are wearing the headphone
4. Have to press and hold the small button for 2 seconds to turn on or off (both headset and bluetooth adapter)
5. It takes 3 hours to fully charge (1 hour charge will be nice)
All in all, while this is not a perfect product, it is very good wireless product. And listening to music in wireless with a decent sound quality, priceless!
If your music/mp3 players doesn't have bluetooth capability and you want to listen to it in wireless, you can check the Altec lansing 906/R BackBeat Headphones where a bluetooth adapter is included.

Awesome July 29, 2009 Mystic (Salt Lake City, UT United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I am using these with an iPhone 3GS, mainly while at the gym. They are just AMAZING!!! They fit very well. I'm able to leave my phone by my things and walk anywhere around the weights. Also, there is no problem using these while laying on a bench.
The only problem I have had are they sometimes get a little uncomfortable around the back of the ear after wearing for 30+ min. However, I think I will get used to this, as well as this will be different for different people.
I also hope this will hold up to sweat, so far it has, and it's covered by a year warranty.
But I LOVE the sound, the voice and mic sound great. I'm definitely glad I choose this over the others I was looking at.

Altec Lansing 903/R US Back Beat Headphones
This is an excellent product -- audio performance is outstanding - battery last over 8 hours - fits and holds nicely during exercise - even mowing the lawn - an unexpected advantage, this product fits comfortabally under a motorcycle skull cap for bluetooth connection to the Garmin and I-Pod.
I still get a little confused trying to put them on -
Very happy, works great. October 5, 2009 Chris E. Hanson (Evergreen, CO USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just bought an Altec Lansing Backbeat 903 for my iPhone. It works well as a wireless headset (even when cycling with sunglasses and helmet). It also is a decent handsfree phone unit.
I can pair it to both my iPhone and my Vista laptop (get the Broadcomm Bluetooth protocol stack, Microsoft's Bluetooth stack doesn't understand stereo headsets). I can listen to music in Winamp and the next/prev buttons on the headset operate Winamp properly. They do NOT cause the iPhone to next/prev, which is a known limitation of the iPhone software that I hope Apple addresses.
There is a call control button on the headset. If you are using the headset with computer audio (music or games) and a iPhone call comes in, clicking the call control button silences the music/sound and answers the call. When the call is over you can click the same button and it automatically switches back to the computer audio seamlessly. I was surprised at how well this worked.
I have also used the headset with my VOIP telephone software (like Skype) on my laptop and it worked well.
I could not be happier with this product.
Best buy November 5, 2009 William J. Uhalt (Miami, FL) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought these to get rid of Iphone corded headphones for music workouts and in the airplane. Syncs easily, sound is great. added bonus, the audio microphone is outstanding. I can take calls and its crystal clear, way better than any other blue-tooth devices I have tried. And for the price, you cant beat it. If I lost these or they got stolen, I would definitely buy another set of back-beat 903's.
